The Wishing Stone

In a quaint little village nestled between rolling hills and lush forests, there lived a curious young boy named Timmy. Timmy loved exploring, and every day after school, he would wander through the fields and woods, discovering new things. One sunny afternoon, while he was out on one of his adventures, he stumbled upon a peculiar stone. It was smooth, round, and had a strange glow about it.

Excited by his find, Timmy rushed back to the village to show it to the wise old man who lived at the edge of town. The old man was known for his vast knowledge of the world and its mysteries.

“Look what I found!” Timmy exclaimed, holding out the glowing stone.

The old man took the stone, examined it closely, and then looked up at Timmy with a twinkle in his eye. “Ah, Timmy, you have discovered something truly special,” he said. “This stone is a wishing stone. If you make a wish while holding it, your wish will come true.”

Timmy’s eyes widened with amazement. He thought hard about what he wanted more than anything in the world. Finally, he held the stone tightly and made his wish. He wished to understand the meaning of life.

The old man smiled and said, “Timmy, the meaning of life is…”

Timmy leaned in eagerly, hanging on the old man’s every word.

“…whatever you make of it,” the old man finished with a shrug.

Timmy stood there, waiting for more. The old man simply smiled and handed the stone back to him.

Confused, Timmy asked, “Is that it?”

The old man nodded. “Yes, Timmy. That’s it.”
